Stem Clubs and Tutoring
I’m Ben Maki.
I’ve been teaching math and science for almost twenty years in the classroom and at outdoor education camps and now one-on-one tutoring.
I’ve always believed the best way to learn a subject is to get in there and just use it. So that’s what we’re going to do.
Tutoring
Sometimes it helps to have a little focused attention. I am available for private and small group tutoring sessions. Bring me your troubles and we’ll work through them together. I specialize in math and science, but also learning. That means I can help with almost any topic (I just might be learning along with you).
I can also provide Focused Tutoring for those who are looking for more intentional instruction. Need a teacher? Not just someone to help, but to actually teach the class?
Whatever you need, I got you.

One Room Schoolhouse
I’m in the early stages of putting together a one-room schoolhouse style homeschooling class. This will incorporate middle and high school ages and will meet on Monday mornings. We’ll be using The Good And The Beautiful curriculum. Students will work independently but with support from me.
I am in the early stages of developing this class, so if you are in the Prescott, AZ area and are interested, please let me know! Right now I’m just putting together a discussion to make plans.
